  Deacon - Gordon Carlton

   The Rev. Gordon Carlton is a man of two cloths.  Born in
   1934, he attended Sewanee Military Academy before joining
   the Marine Corps. in 1952.  He advanced to the rank of
   Sergeant Major in the Marine Corps. before retiring in 1975.
   Gordon tutored extensively with Fr. Dean Poling.  On
   December 17, 2005 (Ember Saturday) the Right Rev. D.
   P. Hutchens of the Diocese of New Orleans ordained him
   to the Diaconate in the Anglican Catholic Church.  He was
   licensed to preach in the ACC on Christmas Day of 2005.
   Currently residing in San Augustine, TX, Deacon Carlton
   has recently seen his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary Lou,
   advance to her heavenly reward.  He also lives near his 3
   children and 8 grandchildren.

   Mr. Laster is co-founder, along with his wife, Jean, of Church
   Of The Epiphany.  His services to the National Church, both
   past and present, include membership in the Diocesan Council
   Of Advice, Provincial Administrative Council, and Consistory
   Court.  He is a former speaker of the House of Laity at the
   annual Diocesan Synod.  He has also played an invaluable role
   as Senior Warden for Church Of The Epiphany during most 
   of her existence.  He is a well-respected retired oil
   businessman, and an outstanding example of Christian
   stewardship.
